Siri Driving Mode

Siri no longer works while in a car, regardless of whether I am driving

or parked. She won't access the web. No more hands-free questions. I

don't see a setting to turn this off. This is pretty frustrating. Apple

fail. The only ways around this is to text while driving. I used to be

able to ask Siri simple questions by pressing a button on my steering

wheel. Now I have to pick up the phone and text my question into a

browser because Siri says she can't access the web while I am in a car. I

already have Do Not Disturb While Driving turned off, but this

shouldn't affect anyway. How can I use Siri again??

This seems to have been a bug introduced with iOS 13.5. It doesn’t seem to be a problem with the radio in my wife’s car, but it’s definitely a problem in my car. When I called Apple support about it after several calls they said the problem was with my radio. I called pioneer and they said no, the problems with the iPhone operating system to which I agree. The phone should control Car mode/do not disturb settings, not the radio.

Because I have Parkinson’s which is a movement disorder which affects fine motor movements it makes it more dangerous for me to drive since to open the navigation Application I can no longer use Siri to do that and have to open it manually with a tremor. Same thing with about any other application, like Spotify. When driving sometimes I would switch between Waze and Spotify which I can no longer do using Siri. Having to do that manually makes it more dangerous even if I’m stopped since I have to take away concentration on what’s going on around me.

I guess I didn't explain myself correctly, Siri is working, however every time I ask for a search she's tells me that that is not available while driving. I have set Do-Not-Disturb to manual. but when its connect to bluetooth SYNC, in my truck Siri thinks I am driving even though I am standing still. And I have found no way to turn this off.
