macbook air and ethernet cord
do I need to configure something to get my MacBook air to work with an ethernet cord? it throws me off but my girlfriends computer doesn't

Network Preferences will recognize and connect with any network interface by default, but to be sure open it and confirm Ethernet is connected: Change network settings on Mac - Apple Support
