Connecting an external usb mic to MacBook Air

Will the sound be better with a Zoom H4n recorder than my internal mic on my laptop? Please be patient as I am old and having to record pipe organ music for virtual church services. Is it worth learning how to do this with the Zoom recorder for better audio?

Absolutely, Zoom H4n's recording is WAY better than the internal laptop mic.

Zoom H4n -- uses SD card -- even with 8Gb chip (be honest, if you can find that small capacity SD card these days), you can record1 hour of "uncompressed music - such as AIFF or wav, for 635mb.

8Gb can record more than 12 hours of CD quality music.

On the Zoom h4n - you can pre-set your desired format for recording (mp3, AIFF or wav).

You just drop the SD card into Mac (if older model with SD card slot), or use USB-c -- to mini USB adapter to connect between H4n and Mac. Music files can just be dragged and dropped into Mac.
