Volume buttons doesn't change volume

Hi!

For several weeks now, I experience a problem with my iPhone. The volume buttons on the left side of the phone doesn't change the volume anymore.

Right before I want to listen to music, I want to make sure how loud the volume will be. Normally, I check this by pushing the volume buttons. The volume bar on the left side of the screen pops-up when I press the volume buttons but the volume itself doesn't change.

The problem fixes itself once music/audio starts to play.

I tried switching on/off the "Change with buttons"-button in the Ringer and Alerts setting, that didn't work. Also, I tried to restart the iPhone and recently installed a new update but that didn't change anything.

What can I do to resolve this problem?

Thanks!

Hi, you can reset all settings, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

Force restart your phone: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.

If the issue persists, you can restore your phone as new:

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

Otherwise, you can take your phone to an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service provider. You can book an appointment on getsupport.apple.com or use the Apple Support app.
