Finding a charging cord

In reference to charging cord, you're needing the AC power adapter?

With connecting wires from grid power to the adapter, and then the

wire from adapter to your early model 2008 13-inch MacBook?

Be very careful with purchasing power adapters from third party vendors such as Amazon & eBay as there are many cheap (as in price & quality) products with many Chinese knock-offs which can be very dangerous. A charger from OWC should be Ok as well.

Check Amazon or eBay. Verify seller reviews, just to see what reputations the seller has.

Local:

Also, check for a local Apple Authorized Reseller in your local area, as they might have some authorized, recycled hardware laying about. A thrift store nought have one laying about, so check there too.

eBay and Amazon have Magsafe 1 cables. I'm pretty sure Apple sells them at stores too.
