Is anyone aware of how the new watch will react with heavily tattooed forearms?
Currently have a series 3 but my tattoos make it impossible to use due to disconnecting every few minutes.

Slap 1 over the sensor and the watch works in wrist detection mode. I have a black tattoo on my wrist and these little caps work perfectly. 100 caps cost 8 to 9 bucks. Plus caps protests the sensor incase dirt gets between your skin and the sensor on the bottom of the watch. I have apple se watch I bought in March of 2021 running latest software.
Apple has been aware of this problem for years. I doubt they do anything about it, just not enough people complaining about it
It still detects walks.
the only other exercise I do is weights which is tracked via ‘JEFIT’ and ‘MyFitnessPal’.
Yes you do if you track workouts or use Apple pay

No, you double click the side button and enter the pin
Just returned mine back cause it wouldn't recognize my wrist and got paused and locked all the time
I loved my Apple Watch but find it annoying that they won’t do anything for anyone with tattoos. They say there’s an Apple Watch for everyone, clearly not if you have tattoos!

Same. Just bought one about a month ago and thought I had gotten a lemon as I wasn't aware tattoos were a problem. After researching, looks like Apple Watch's tattoo-gate is still a thing.
