Headers and Footers in PAGES

I have probably set his up incorrectly but I have set up templates for letters wit logo and names in the header and footer sections.

But when writing long letters, (as occasionally happens) I need to delete the name and logos from subsequent pages. Currently the header and footer appears on every page which is not needed and seems to be impossible to make them appear jus on the first page. Help!

If you go to File > New and choose one of the letter templates you will see (I think) that logos and names are not put in a header or footer. Would it work for you to take them out of the header and footer and put them in the body? That way, as with the templates, they should appear only on the first page if you have a long letter.
