My volume icon moved closer to the bottom of the screen

I just noticed that the volume icon on my 2012 macbook pro is not in the centre of the screen. Is this normal? If not how can I fix this? Thanks!

I think it’s supposed to be like that. Have you done any updates recently?

No I haven't, just downloaded some apps. I'm currently on OS Sierra if that helps.

On my MacBook Pro running 10.13 High Sierra, it's near the bottom of the screen like yours.
