PDF Images printing in black or with black background

I bought an expensive homeschool curriculum. When I try to print from Preview, some images are either blacked over, or have black around them covering the wording. It does not happen on my old MacBook. I am currently migrated to a brand new iMac.

People say it is a communication error between the computer and printer, and many people have this issue. The only known solution I have found is to use Adobe Reader, which is not an option.

How do I get my computer/printer to print my .pdf's properly? I bought this iMac for homeschool but so far it is absolutely useless.

Boot into Safe Mode (How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support) by booting with the Shift key held down and try to print from there to see if the problem persists.  Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing some system cache cleaning, volume verifying and directory repairing.

Also Have you run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up" or anti-virus apps on your Mac?

I know for some graphics that PCs & Macs swap Black & White. Are these PDFs made on a PC?

Forgive me if you tried all this, but it should install...

Is this what you downloaded?

Once downloaded & tried to install, find the App & right click, choose Open & authorize.

As a test open in GraphicConverter has a powerful Browse Folder function, & many tools for manipulation, & you can keep your Pics wherever you want...
