I erased my hard drive and tried to re-install the High Sierra OS ... it says "The recovery server could not be contacted." Now what do I do?

Depending on your computer's age one of the following needs to be done.
- Pre July 2011, find the original installer discs.
- Post July 2011, see first if you get anything with a command-R boot. If you get the same error message, you need to connect the machine to a network. The icon in the upper right may let you connect to your WiFi. Otherwise you need an ethernet cord from your computer to the modem to do the download.
