Why do I not have access to remove Camera and Flashlight from my lock screen? I don’t want it to be there always since my toddler always picks up my phone and turns on the flashlight. Please advise when you will fix it??

Apple has not made those features user adjustable. No one here in this user-to-user forum would be able to tell you why they made that user interface decision.

It is my understanding that the flashlight and the camera are on the lock screen as they can be the most used items if you are in a hurry. That way you do not have to unlock your phone if you need a light to find something in the dark or wish to take a quick picture.

That 's how you remove things from the Control Center (not Mission Control). It ha no effect on the lock screen.
