saved screenshots

Where can I find saved screeenshots? Before I was able to go into finder and type in screenshot to find it, but this no longer works.

lost screen shots, can't find partial screenshots I often take partial screen shots. Screen shots are supposed to be saved to the desktop by default, and I have also directed them to a folder labeled screenshots, on the desktop. But they don't show up.

Saving screenshots. Is it possible to save screenshots directly to a specific folder, rather than dropbox. I am attending a conference, and plan to save occasional charts etc.

By default macOS puts the screenshots on the Desktop.

The default file name is "Screen Shot".
