Water damage?

iphone XR supposed to tolerate some water--when retrieved from deep puddle appeared to be working then ~ an hr later no power, won't turn on

That is the thing with water and electronics, the damage might not be apparent straight away.


The damage can happen over time as current passes trough the water.


If your iPhone do get wet your best bet is to turn it off. and keep it in a well ventilated place until it is dried
