Turn App Library off?

Anyway to disable the app library in ios14?

I don’t want it, my apps are already organized on my Home Screen.

The App Library is a feature only there for users who wish to use it, sadly apple has no way to disable the App Library at the minute but until a feature like this is added you can not swipe over to that screen, to get back home screens that have disappeared go into jiggle mode by holding an app down and clicking edit home screen and click the dots at the bottom of your screen and check or uncheck the home screens that you want visible.

This! I absolutely loathe the App Library and hate the fact that it has been imposed on users. Apple is so arrogant and high handed at the best of times but this is next level controlling. It makes navigation so unpleasant for those of use fewer Apps or, you know, are organized, all because some thick, smug dev thinks they know best. It’s a corporate phone but I would love to make the move to Samsung!

Why are you telling us? Tell Apple:

Product Feedback - Apple

And yes, Samsung makes all sorts of changes in their phones regularly.

If, like me, you have everything you need on one screen, then with the widgets and the App Library you have two completely useless pages that it is all too easy to navigate to accidentally. The library is particularly hard to navigate away from because it includes access to all those pointless, undeletable Apps that currently sit in my junk folder. It's really annoying, so much so that I post about it on forums five or six times a week, and it has to change. This should not be difficult because Apple originally offered the option to turn off the library before imposing it because, let's be honest, they're ******** like that. Sadly, the only way that they will change it is if people make a fuss about it publicly. Trust me, I'd rather be doing other things with my time, this just gets up my nose and I don't have the option of ditching my work phone for a better, cheaper Android option.

Don't worry, I've sent my feedback to Apple and only spend as much time as I can afford complaining here and elsewhere. As the supermarket jingle goes, though, every little bit helps. Commenting in private to Apple, which has already demonstrated really strongly that it doesn't care what its users think, is obviously not going to change anything.

Apple are unlikely to act unless people publicly express their unhappiness. That's why we use the forums to make them aware that a significant number of people absolutely despise this functionality. What do you care? Who appointed you gatekeeper?

Apple doesn't read here for feedback or suggestions. So, posting here doesn't cause them to act. And, I'm not acting as a gatekeeper. I never said you couldn't post here. Just that complaining here is pointless. But, it's your time to waste.

Best of luck.

That is riddled with so many untruths it doesn't even merit a rebuttal. Literally not one thing is true or correct.

Oh it is useful alright. For duplicating apps behind you back so someone else can have access to them without disturbing your home screen. And you won’t find out either until it is too late. That is what is happening to me. At first it appears normally than somehow it is doubled and put in different categories in the library. The Home Screen is all i need. But apparently and app library is needed by someone other than myself because i cannot disable the horrific feature.

It does not duplicate apps. It works like an alias (Mac) or shortcut (Windows). And, the only way someone can get access to your apps is if you leave your phone unlocked. Don't do that.

Hide it from who? If are giving your phone to someone to use and you think they can't find an app in a folder, on another page or use the simple search function everyone knows how to use on an iPhone, you're kidding yourself.

If you truly want to hide an app, you can truly hide an app and it won't appear in the App Library at all.
