Turn App Library off?
Anyway to disable the app library in ios14?
I don’t want it, my apps are already organized on my Home Screen.

The App Library is a feature only there for users who wish to use it, sadly apple has no way to disable the App Library at the minute but until a feature like this is added you can not swipe over to that screen, to get back home screens that have disappeared go into jiggle mode by holding an app down and clicking edit home screen and click the dots at the bottom of your screen and check or uncheck the home screens that you want visible.

You and me both on the make things I have to have. I own iPhone 11 Pro Max. Today three new iPhone cases arrived for an iPhone 12 Pro Max I haven't even ordered and that's ONLY because pre-orders don't open for the 12 Pro Max till November 6th. Nothing said I couldn't be prepared with cases on hand for when I do get the new phone ;-)
You, my friend, are just a bit predictable. ;-)
And uh, er, um......why might you say that my dear??? LOL
I tell the partner it's required to keep my standing as a member of the forum. Don't think after all these years he believes me, but I get away with it anyway ;-)

Smart (and understanding) partner!
Like a few others, I too, only had a couple of pages of apps and didn't really need this. It annoyed me because it felt like having two copies of all of my apps on my phone. If you believe in simplicity, which Apple usually does, this seemed quite unnecessary! I went ahead and tried to just keep all of the apps in the new "App Library," but now I can never find anything; the app library categorize things quite differently than I do. I am going to go ahead and drag everything back out of the app library and categorize everything to my own liking, except that app library is still there with it's double copies of everything. I arrived here looking for a way to turn it off.
Good to hear. I don't personally use the App Library as I did organize all my hundreds of apps into folders which make the most sense for me. As we've discussed, the angst over this is kind of dumb to me.

I've started to believe that people are focusing their anxiety of this sort of little thing because so much about reality is painful and confusing and overwhelming to contemplate right now.
I know what you mean. I'm back in office now. I literally blew up at a young'un who came in the rest room in my office building without a mask on. There's no way to social distance in the restrooms here. I don't normally blow up at strangers. We need life to come back to normal.
You’re missing the point though. It’s annoying because they give us an organizational tool that can’t be organized. Just another example of the military state of Apple. It might not annoy you but it’s u believability frustrating to some and will cause people to leave Apple if it isn’t fixed soon.

Have you told Apple how you feel?

Android is the same that’s why i switched to iPhone! I already have the apps why need them in 2 spots?!
You do not have two copies of the app on your phone. You just have two different ways of looking at the apps on your phone. Just like you can pull up two windows on your computer that show the same folder but one sorted alphabetically and one sorted by date added.

I wish that was the worst stress in my life right now or at any point in my life for that matter.
One of the things I learned a long time ago was to not become too wedded to the way a particular piece of technology works. Because it's going to change. Sometimes I like the change, sometimes I hate it. Mostly though, it's just a question of getting used to change. Facing change with equanimity is a learned skill and a valuable one.
No definitely far from the worse, of course. I just liked my phone better when I designed the layout. I would like to be in charge of that again for my phone. The aesthetic of the App Library seems very out of synch with Apple’s usually streamlined aesthetic.
I do not like the Apple Library. I don’t mind your different subtitles for the different categories , but I am unable to move my apps around . My suggestion is to get rid of it or give the Apple users the option of moving their apps around in the Library so it’s more user friendly.

It’s really confusing that Apple “isn’t here” at an Apple.com domain. And the link isn’t anywhere obvious in the thread as viewed on iPhone. Here it is for anyone interested.

The link has been given 19 times in this thread (this makes 20). So, I don't know how you can say that it isn't anywhere obvious unless you haven't actually read the thread.
Users have had the option of creating folders for quite a while. I use one for apps that Apple doesn't allow you to delete and labeled it useless... LOL
To me it's just for lazy people that don't want to clean up their room by themselves. You can easily do it yourself with folders in ways that make sense to you. With app library it's like mommy Apple putting your underwear in your jeans drawer... The groupings rarely make sense.
How about a toggle in settings that just hides that screen?
I agree with some others... I have my most used apps on my main page, then everything else in folders on a second page. Used to be able to slam it left quickly and get to my folders without looking. Now I have to slide slowly and look.
Finally, forced change ****** off everybody. eBay is losing sellers by the thousands because of new forced policies and invasive personal information gathering.
