Problem installing Safari 14.0

I am running MacOS 10.14.6 on a 2014 MacBook Pro. I tried to download and install Safari 14.0. Each time after about 2-3 minutes get an error message that saying a timeout occurred and couldn't complete the download & installation. Any ideas?

It stays "about 2 hours and 21 minutes remaining" for about 20 minutes and then it gives me this error: I tried to move from Big Sur to Monterey thinking that perhaps I needed to go from 11 to 12 before 13. This is the error I get when I try to upgrade to Monterey: “The operation couldn’t be completed. (PKDownloadError error 8.)" I'm not sure what is wrong and I would love any advice on how to fix this. I appreciate any help! Thanks!

Roxio Toast 20 won't install For anyone who gets the "We have encountered a problem" error on the Toast 20 installer, here's the trick to get it working: Go to system preferences, privacy and security and add the installer to full disk access. You'll need to select the installer within the mounted DMG! I can confirm this solving the issue on BigSur on M1 Mac.

Thanks starting in Safe Mode solved the issue.
