Whenever i call or answer calls a red dot appears on the screen next to the battery percentage, and when i close the call it disappears, what does it mean?
this dot started appearing after i updated my iphone to the ISO 14.0,
i've the iphone 7 plus

If you see orange or green indicators in the status bar
With iOS 14, you might see an orange or green indicator in the status bar on your iPhone. These indicators appear when the microphone and/or camera are being used by an app.
An orange indicator 
means the microphone is being used by an app on your iPhone.
A green indicator 
means either the camera or the camera and the microphone are being used by an app on your iPhone.
The red and orange dots are pretty interchangeable in terms of meaning (the microphone is in use).
The COVID-19 tracker is only in play if you choose to turn it on (i.e its an opt in program).

“Privacy” as we know it, is a story we have been made told. It may have existed once in the world, but in truth, it vanished the moment mankind became self-aware.
Why if the user asked about a red dot did you feel the need to misguide the question snd answer? I have the same thing occurring since the update. I have however found that it has something to do with the COVID tracker update which they slipped in to the 14 update and never mentioned it would be installed. You can turn the blue tooth off snd then you will have an orange dot but it will eventually turn the Bluetooth back on by it’s self. Talk about invasion of your privacy and rights. But what do you expect from the man who wants to rid the planet of millions of humans ?
I simply shared the information available on the apple website. That’s not misguiding. That’s sharing. That’s the information that’s out there. No mention of a red dot in the Apple support, got distracted and forgot to add that tidbit.
