Handwashing Timer isn’t working.

I just updated my Apple Watch series 5 To watchOS 7. I enabled the handwashing timer but it isn’t working. How do I get it to work?

Thanks. I performed a forced restart on my iPhone and Apple Watch. It’s working fine now.

Hi Waystland,

At first, I had this problem too.

Try restarting both your iPhone and your Watch--see if it works.

If not, make sure you allow notifications for handwashing (inside the iPhone Watch app) and turn on significant locations inside your iPhone's System Settings for Location Services (on iPhone, go to Settings app > Privacy > Location Services > System Services > and toggle Significant Locations on.)

To get those handwashing reminders, make sure you have a home address listed in your My Card in the Contacts app.

I found this info via this site: https://www.myhealthyapple.com/how-to-use-apple-watch-handwashing-feature/

What worked for me was making sure notification were turned on to always!

Hope you get it working!
