Apple TV (HDMI) to an Apple Cinema Display (Thunderbolt 2)

I have an Apple TV connected to a TV in my office. I am looking to rearrange my office and the TV is too big for my office desk. I have an Apple Cinema Display with a Thunderbolt 2 end on it. Is there a way to use the Apple Cinema Display as a TV only, and hook it into my Apple TV...and it work?

Thunderbolt 2 (from the monitor) to a Thunderbolt 2 to HDMI converter to the HDMI in the Apple TV?

Thoughts?

No. Some Apple TVs have a USB-C port but it can't be used for video.

The HDMI to Mini DisplayPort converter should work since your display is not Thunderbolt.

If it's a real Thunderbolt display (Lightning bolt icon on the connector, no USB plug) there are no adapters that can make it work from HDMI.

If it's the Mini DisplayPort LED display (No lightning bolt icon, USB plug) you could use a HDMI to Mini DisplayPort converter.

(Will not work with Thunderbolt, even though the plug will fit.)
