initial I phone 11 charging

Just bought an I phone 11, the salesman said to wait for the phone to fulling drain before I charge it, and to repeat this for a month,,,, others say it doesnt matter.....any answers out there?

Did you buy this at an Apple Store?

That is very old information and it is no longer applicable to present day batteries.

DO NOT let it drain completely. DO NOT repeat that every month. Charge it as often and as long as you like. I plug my phone in when I go to bed and charge it every night.
