iOS 14 Google Calendar Widget

Hello - I just downloaded IOS 14 and added the calendar widget to my home screen. As you can see in the attached image, I can't actually see my schedule for the day as nothing is listed. If I click on it, it opens the ical/calendar app and everything is there. As of right now, this widget is useless. I use the built in calendar app on the iPhone so that I can pull both my personal events (gmail/google calendar) and my professional calendar (outlook) into one view (easier than jumping between different apps). I would love to have the opportunity to view at a quick glance. Thank you.

I used to use the calendar app that comes with the iPhone (labeled as Home calendar in the phone) and outlook for work. I could view them both through the calendar app that comes with the iPhone. As I used the "home" calendar for any personally scheduling, I started to notice that people without an iPhone/Apple where not receiving my invites. So I decided to switch everything to my google calendar. Upon doing so, I had the brilliant idea (wish I just left it alone) to import my ical data into my google calendar so I had all my past personal information on one calendar (google) and work through outlook but could still view both side by side through the calendar app on the iPhone.

Well when I imported my ical data to my google calendar, one event was duplicated.....20,000 times. So now, every month, I have one day that shows an all day event 20k times. This has slowed my calendar down A LOT. My google calendar no longer loads when accessing through my computer, my calendar app through the iPhone now glitches all the time and to even view a single day (say today) it takes over 30 seconds for that view to load. With that all said, I think my underlying calendar issue is maybe why I can't see a view on the widget. I have been unsuccessful in getting that repeating event deleted. I don't have the time to go through 20k events to delete one by one. I've reached out to google for help with no response and Apple cannot fix.

Previously along with the events widget there is another which shows the entire day schedule which helps me inform others or plan my self any activities or breaks in the day and help me as a remainder
i would love have the same widget back

It's still there. When you add the calendar widget to your home screen, you have three different options. The last one shows your whole day.

I'm not sure what you mean by "iCal". That was the very old name of the calendar application on Macs. The Calendar app on the iPhone pulls data from whatever accounts you've signed into. I use Google and my work Outlook accounts to populate my calendar.

Also what account you get your calendar data from has no affect on what the widget choices are. Are you saying you don't have the three widget options?

Is the crazy repeat through a particular calendar? For example, I have both a Work and a Personal calendar in Google calendar. If so, perhaps you could delete that calendar.

It could cut down the time a little if you access your Google calendar through the web interface and searched for "Best Buy". You still can't select all the events and delete them at once but, it might be faster to go through them from that list. Do a couple hundred a day and, in a few weeks, you might be back to normal.

Or the more nuclear option. Create a new gmail address just to use a new calendar and sigh out of the old one on your phone.

I am asking for the widget of apple calendar whaere it will show the entire day including the timelines where the events are not scheduled too. Simple as the same look we will get as the day schedule in calendar app in the widget screen instead if only evens widget . And I also look into the all calendar options and sizes that available in iOS14
