since I updated to iOS 14 and the notifications have been messed up.
new emails show up in the Notification Center which is fine. Then when I open the app and read them they don’t disappear from the Notification Center like it used to be. This happens with more apps but I care about the mail since I receive too many emails and the Notification Center is full of them after being read.

Mine are the same, only Mail account affected is iCloud. It keeps saying I have 3 unread when I don’t. Regardless of deleting account and reinstalling or turning off notifications etc. It’s an issue only since I installed iOS 14
Also to add, I removed the account and reset everything and the issue still exists.
Also noticed that the app doesn’t show/display the number of unread emails in each email folder
This is exactly same as me. Since the update, iCloud email keeps notifying of exactly three unread messages, but there are no new messages.
So it seems that sending yourself an e-mail and actually reading that mail solves it. Did you try this?
I also noticed that the vibration doesn’t work with mail notifications as well. I have it on and works fine with other apps.
Same, says iCloud has 3 unread, open and they aren’t there and the badge goes away. Then its back again after a little bit. Super annoying as I keep all emails read.
Had the same problem, creating an email to same account, sent it, received it, read it and have had no more problems.
this didn't work for me. You might get lucky for 24 hours...but it'll come back.
Must be a one off as it doesn’t fix my problem
I am having the same issue only with iCloud email account my other two account Exchange and yahoo has no issues. I also log in to iCloud in my computer it show no mail.

I keep getting 4 emails everyday or 2 days then I go into the mail app to view them and there is nothing to see
I can now say that my iPad is having the same issue... It’s running 14.2 beta
I’m having the same issue with both my IPhone and IPad. I hope they correct this problem soon as it’s very annoying.
I can’t see my notificaciones, i have to open the apps in order to get them, its super annoyingly
