We are getting this same message, saying our security is set to "WPA/WPA2 (TKIP)" and we should use "WPA2 (AES)" or "WPA3", but our router is in fact set to "WPA2-PSK (AES)".
Is it possible the error message is simply wrong?
Will the new update that came out today fix the "weak security" issue??
It isn't an issue.

You fix the weak security issue by making the security on your WiFi network more secure.
Unfortunately, I double-checked my router (TP link A7 AC1750 w/latest update). There is only one setting for both and it is set correctly. But... I'll check again.
Thanks!
Ahh...good point. I do have a spectrum provided modem. I’ll have to look in to that. Thanks.
I don’t have a problem with either band on any of my 4 devices on iOS 14.
I don't anymore, either. I just had to jump through a few hoops for some reason before the "weak" message would go away on my iPhone. Our iPads and my wife's Xr didn't need to be coaxed like that.
I tried that. Didn’t work.
This worked for me
thanks
Funny that it only started to lose connection and have a poor connection to the iphone after my update and the “Weak Security” being displayed.
My apple AirPort Time Capsule doesn’t seem to support WPA2(AES) or WPA3
what can i do about this??
If you're only choices are WEP and the original WPA, throw it away and get a new router.
WPA/WPA2 Personal
WPA2 Personal
are two options
and then the same but Enterprise on the end??
Which generation Time Capsule do you have? Even the first one supported WPA2 Personal, are you not seeing that? Have you installed all the firmware updates?
Use WPA2 Personal.
