Ok so i have the latest 16" macbook pro and my aoc e1659fwu monitor doesnt seem to be connecting at all. I downloaded the display link driver and it when i connect the monitor all it does it flicker. http://www.displaylink.com/downloads/file?id=1085 I have the latest version of Catalina. - The external monitor worked perfectly on my late 2013 macbook pro, not sure why its not working on the 16 inch though?

maybe I can shed some light on this. This monitor uses USB, so make sure that it’s either plugged in directly to your Mac or use a powered USB hub. Have you tried the latest Display linkSoftware which is 5.2.5, which is available https://www.displaylink.com/downloads/macos
There is also a link for the display link manager graphics connectivity which is 1.1 and works on Catalina. I suggest you give that a go too.

Hey John, i tried that and the monitor still flashes, i actually have that installed on my computer right now. I have an apples usb-c to usb cable, which i connect the monitor to.
Right then.... i’ll be taking the gun and the cannolis on this one... i might leave ya one or two though..i’m not totally heartless...anyways, there’s a few xtra things U need to do in Catalina to get this working... why? I dunno... anyways.,. Check out “da link”:—-
