Apple Watch reached a good temperature of 108 F with update

So yesterday, upon updating the Apple Watch on top of the charger (One of the biggest factors to why it would heat up) the dang thing almost burned me when I tried to pick it up. Measured it with my handy dandy laser thermometer that was hanging around. My question now, is it possible that the high temperature may have caused damage to any specific internal components? Do I have anything to worry about?
