Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I bought a brand new iphone 11 2 days ago. I am exhausted and exasperated!!! Why is the battery dying so fast and I barely use it. I charged it to 100 percent last night, unplugged and went back to sleep. This morning, 4-5 hours later, it went from 100 percent to 69!!!! I followed all the battery rules, no notifcations, background apps closed, brightness low, phone on silent, wifi turned off, and the battery is already dying?!

Depending on your setup and previous history with Apple products, your iPhone may have had huge tasks to perform. (Yes, I see you said “background apps closed”).
Check Settings > Battery and observe what used your resources.
