Email photo as attachment, not embedded, in iOS 14

I just updated my phone to ios14. I have an hotmail email account I’ve used for years. Before I updated I could email pictures to my work email and outlook account and they would be attachments at top of email. Easy to save, copy, print, etc. Now the pictures show up in the body of the email. Full screen and not easy to work with. Is there a setting I need to change to get it back to the way it sent pictures before I updated. Thanks

SOLVED!

i figured out the issue with embedded vs attachment on IOS 14. If you send an email in HTML, it will always embed the photos. If you send Plain Text, the photo will be attached. Any formatting in the email triggers HTML. It could be your signature or any other text if it is bold, colored, underlined, italic etc.

If you have a formatted signature, you cant just change it, you have to delete it by selecting ALL then backspace to delete it. Then type your signature as plain text and your pictures will be attachments

My ipad came defaulted with a formatted signature, after changing it, this worked

Help !! This is ridiculous ! I've just had all my employees install iOS 14 and now we can't e-mail jpeg pictures from our phones to our work e-mail addresses ! This is BAD ! Apple, why would you do this ??? Photos embedded in an e-mail DOES NOT WORK !!

Please issue a fix asap. I have employees that depend on e-mailing pictures they take with their phones as ATTACHMENTS.

We own close to 50 iPhones for employees. We are a voice that should be listened to !! This upgrade is NOT an upgrade - huge step backwards. Please fix / reverse !

Thanks for your quick clue.

I followed your hints and attached the short video together with 2 photos in the email and send to my PC Outlook email client. I found that it really works BUT only the short video and 1 photo were received as attachment. I did it multiple times and the result is the same. Everyday, I use the phone taking many photos for work and email to my PC and then quickly forward them to other people for sharing. With this iOS 14 update, I am crazy depressed why Apple will change its original good work !!!!!

The solutions posted by users (not Apple mind you) are not options that work in a practical manner when you need to send multiple pictures. I shouldn't need to make a video to send an attachment NOR should I need to send to myself , right click, save and send as an attachment. Who thought embedding images was a good idea? Stop trying to do something "inventive" with a basic email function that thousands if not millions of people use. It worked PERFECT until I decided to update my phone, who would have thought of all functions that would get jacked up this would be it......sending an attachment in an email. Fix your software Apple, you have created a complete joke.

I'm ready for a phone upgrade - I think I will do away with Apple - I never could figure out how to save the photos off of my phone. I tried connecting it to my laptop but I could not download the photos. I tried going through their cloud product, but the images did not seem to be the original pictures, but some grainy downgrade of the original photo. The only work around for this problem was to email myself each picture one at a time which in and of itself was a royal pain. NOW THIS! I now have no way of saving my pictures from my phone. I'm DONE!

Thanks. Have now looked and tried it. How very clever. Would never have thought of it. A bit convoluted though but at least it works!! The method of accompanying the images with a short video which you then delete is also a solution, but really very silly!! Much better if Apple sorted it rather than all these brainy people working out other fixes!
