The plus sign to add widgets on my screen doesn’t show

home screen widgets are just for iPhone, not iPad..
no worries! once you get it installed, all you do is tap and hold on the home screen and when the apps start wiggling, there should be a plus sign in the upper left of the screen.
I did install. I did hold down until wiggling. The plus comes up on the swipe right widget screen, but not in the main screen.
I’ve also tried holding and dragging the widget from the swipe right screen onto the Home Screen as the tips suggested, but that didn’t work either. My iPad is only a year old. It worked on my iPhone.
