Group FaceTime

So I'm trying to use FaceTime on my MacBook Air instead of my phone. It is set and everything, with my Apple ID and everything. But when I try to start FaceTime in my group chats on my Mac, the little camera icon to start a group call is not appearing, hence I cannot start a group call. I restarted my laptop, signed in and out of FaceTime on both devices, almost everything other forums suggested. Can someone help me out?
