Group Facetime Trouble

Hi I have a MacBook pro with macOS Catalina 10.15.4. I don't have an option to add someone to a Facetime call to make it a group Facetime. There is no sidebar or drop down menu to do so. I am also not able to join a group Facetime call. I am able to do this on my phone, though. I have tried updating and restarting my computer and still can't. Help!
