When I swipe down or when I try to use the search bar by screen goes blurry like this.

Found this solution in another forum. It worked for me. Sooo happy cuz this happens to me often.

if/when this happens, put your phone to sleep/lock the screen.

Wake your phone, but do not enter it.

(for Face ID models this is really simple because you just don't swipe up to access your Home Screen)

(for Touch ID models, I'd suggest waking your phone with a finger that won't unlock your device)

Swipe right to access your Today View widgets from the Lock Screen.

If yours is the same as what I came across, the search field will be displayed and the cursor captured in the search field rather displaying the widgets.

Simply tap 'cancel' next to the search field, now the widgets should be shown.

Access your phone like normal now and try searching again by swiping downward on the Home Screen.

For me this fixed it.

I had this too! A general hard reset(press and hold off button for older models, hold off button + volume up for newer) worked for me!

For my iPhone 7 it was Hold Down Both UP and DOWN volume while pressing the Side Button. In about 3sec it shut off and restarted. Blurry screen gone.

I had the same problem. Just switched off the phone and put it ON. The problem was resolved. You can try that. It should get ok.

I have an iPhone 12 mini and had this issue. A normal restart has worked for me so far.

I’ve just got an iPhone 11 and it’s happening too, since iOS 14.2. If I have for example clicked a link from an email to an Amazon order, at the top left it used to say (left arrow) ‘mail’. Now it says ‘search’ and when you tap it, the screen goes blurry. To get out of it, I swipe up from the bottom and the open apps appear and everything is fine. A weird thing though. It must be a glitch in the new iOS.

For me the problem has not recurred so far after restarting the phone. I guess restarting is there only remedy every time it happens. Until Apple comes up with a permanent solution.

The same happened to me. I did reset (power off/) and it worked for a few hours then does it again.

I have this issue too both on the iphone 11 and 12 pro max. And since october - november it’s unfixed by Apple as they are asleep ...
