Can anyone help me. I love using the search bar inside of finding the app I want

Found this solution in another forum. It worked for me. Sooo happy cuz this happens to me often.
if/when this happens, put your phone to sleep/lock the screen.
Wake your phone, but do not enter it.
(for Face ID models this is really simple because you just don't swipe up to access your Home Screen)
(for Touch ID models, I'd suggest waking your phone with a finger that won't unlock your device)
Swipe right to access your Today View widgets from the Lock Screen.
If yours is the same as what I came across, the search field will be displayed and the cursor captured in the search field rather displaying the widgets.
Simply tap 'cancel' next to the search field, now the widgets should be shown.
Access your phone like normal now and try searching again by swiping downward on the Home Screen.
For me this fixed it.
it all works ok now. Try following a link from an email (say to Amazon), the back arrow and title 'mail' now appears top left when you open Amazon, so no problem. I don't know how it happened, maybe an update in the background
My screen won’t let me search either. Goes blurry. I turned it off then back in and it worked for a few hours then happened again. Help!

Restarting helped when it first happened but it is happening again.
I restarted again yesterday. Will see.
If I swipe up, I am back at the home screen, but I still cannot search for an app as it gets blurry if I try to swipe down again.
Yeah it’s works for the first hour, then it goes back to blurry
it does that to me too sometimes but one of the thing that mostly happen is that i cant tap open on any apps. I could search the app but not be able to open it
The same is happening to me! When I restart the phone it works but then it happens again...does anyone know how to fix it yet?

This solved it for me too. Clearly a bug in the OS UI...
Magic! I don’t know what happened but it’s all ok now. If I follow a link from mail to (eg) Safari, there is now the previous app title in the top left hand corner (🔙Mail) with the left arrow. Everything’s back to normal!
In too faced this problem. Restarted my phone and it was resolved. Just it kakhi160😊
Just swipe up and bring the open apps back. It seems to be when you tap a link in an App (eg mail) to go to another app.
When I swipe down or when I try to use the search bar by screen goes blurry like this.
