How to connect and access Microscope Camera on Mac

I have a camera connected to a Microscope which currently is connected through a small box converted to USB. The box comes from a company called Ken A Vision, but unfortunately this company do not exist anymore, and since I upgraded the OS on my mac, the old Ken A Vision software do no longer work. I am therefor looking for an alternative.

I don't know if a normal s-video cable through a cam-capture box from amazon is gonna suffice.. I tried to look up various other providers and found Digitnow and Startech to have created similar boxes, though their software for mac is not supported neither on latest Mac OS.

Can anyone suggest a product or software that allows me to connect the camera to my mac and be able to take still pictures from the device?

I was also thinking that maybe the standard software "Image Capture" that is part of Mac OS would solve the problem, but then I still need to find a way to connect my Microscope camera to the mac. Any suggestions? Thanks - Cheers!
