Webcam not detected

I have a mac mini, and an external webcam, but it is not being detected. I have restarted, shutdown, plugged and unplugged, tried everything. The webcam light goes on but it still says undetected in system report and photobooth. At my wit's end here.

MacBook camera not detected My MacBook Pro camera is not getting detected. It says there is no device to capture video. I tried upgrading macOS, resetting, permissions, etc. I do not know what has cause this and how to fix it. There are no light signals in the webcam as well.

My webcam stopped working on my intel macbook pro after updating to ventura after going from monterey to ventura, my webcam does not work. the green light turns on but it does not show a picture. i have tried to restart, check parental control, and check permissions. all of these seem fine.

System Preferences > Security and Privacy > Camera, then check photobooth

What web cam? Check on the package and see it is macOS compatible.
