Has anyone found that their lightning port stopped charging their IPhone 11 Pro after updating to iOS 14?

Has anyone found a solution for this? My solution was a wireless charger. Which, of course worked. There’s nothing wrong with the battery or charging port. It’s a software problem. I’ve updated as much as possible (iPhone 11). And still, nothing.

I swear dude, I love apple, but they’re going straight back to a reiteration of the 90’s. Except this time there’s no Steve Jobs to save them.

Yes just in the middle of a phone call and it restarts cutting off the person. False battery levels as well and if I turn off the optimised battery button it then restarts the phone after a couple of minutes and puts it back in again... plus all games freeze after playing for more than 5 mins and then phone restarts. Never makes the ping noise if used to when I plug phone into charge so I never know if it is charging... had tech look at it and battery 100 percent healthy! Hate this upgrade - do something Apple please!

My friend was having the same problem and he kept getting a message that “this device not supported” when he plugged in his iPhone. I didn’t get a message at all but my phone wouldn’t charge on anything that my Apple cord and brick. Then all of a sudden his started working couple days later, so I tried mine and it began to work also. It had to have been an Apple update of some kind to have fixed the problem.

Unfortunately, the only solution I found was buying a Belkin wireless charger. The problem started after the original ios14 update and it was a new iphone 11 I had only had for a couple of months so I was using the power cord and block included with the phone. I know some folks have had difficulty because they were using unsupported cables but...

I have an iPhone 6s that was running fine until 14.2 update. Now I have the exact same problem. Too bad wireless charging isn't an option or I would have tried that. So frustrated and angry at apple right now. It happened so fast, I wasn't able to back up my phone data. I have an appointment next Tuesday at the Apple store (the earliest I could get, they are so busy!) I hope a new battery will at least enable me to get my data off of it. Switching to a non-apple phone ASAP. This is the straw that broke the camels back, so to speak. The battery had better be free, too - it wasn't my fault.

Apple has released a list of bug fixes due to be included when iOS 14.3 is rolled out to the world this Monday December 14. This charging problem (which like many of you I’m also experiencing) doesn’t even get a mention. What the actual....

isn’t an Apple moderator able to escalate this to support based on the evidence of it being a widespread issue affecting multiple users?

I have the same problem with my iPhone 8. I have been in constant contact with Apple support who have been working on my phone to try and sort out the problem. Spent literally days over several weeks with them. Still nothing has worked and battery new like yours. It is an upgrade issue and they have there engineers working on it. I think it is the fact that we have older phones and the upgrade is not working on ours. It is to do with the battery life thing they added which is not compatible with our older phones I think. Hopefully they bring out a fix for our phones or let us revert to IOS 14 - the glitch happened with 14.2!

Hi Stefanie did you have problems with your phone not charging properly and constantly restarting when you were online or playing games or even in the middle of a call when you updated to IOS 14.2? My phone is crazy now and too scared to update it ... have spent hours in the phone to Apple Support to no avail and spent money at tech shop here seeing if they can find the problem but no! It is the upgrade- not going to take this!
