Hello Stephen46,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
It appears that when you click a phone number on your MacBook, it goes to Skype instead of your iPhone. You can use the information in the following support articles to edit the preferences on your Mac to make phone calls through your iPhone instead of Skype:
Change preferences in FaceTime on Mac - Apple Support
Set up your iPhone and Mac for phone calls - Apple Support
Best regards.

Yes, the key is to set the Facetime preferences. Changing "Default for Calls" from Skype to Facetime did the trick.
Hello Stephen46.
