Possible hack?

I know Apple is very secure. But my friend received a text message from me that I never sent to her. I don’t type/talk like it did in the message. It was a very weird message and something I wouldn’t say. I’m not sure how this message was sent. Could this be a possible hacker? How can I find out if my phone is safe? This is the first time this has happened. Thanks for any answers and info.
