Apple HDMI Adapter Not Working in ios 14

Prior to 14 my ipad would say “Not Charging” but pass through data the adapter to work well. Today, after upgrading to 14 it says “Charging” (via lightning bolt) but no data is being sent. I don’t see a solution posted on other topics with HDMI referenced. What’s up?
