what happens if i delete 'iPhoto Library.migratedphotolibrary' which can not be opened. i wish to delete to have more hard disc space.

Have all your photographs been migrated to Photos, successfully? If you're happy that they have then you can delete the iPhoto Library.migratedphotolibrary. Or move it to a back up disk if you're being extra cautious.

Correct. This is perfectly normal.
When you migrated to Photos to save space on the disk the two libraries pointed to the same original files. In other words, although both libraries claimed to be 58Gigs or whatever, they were actually claiming the same 46Gigs of originals. So when you deleted the migrated library you got rid of the iPhoto-only overhead, and your actual photos are preserved.
Thanks, it worked partially. I deleted 58GB sharedphotolibrary but it freed only 12 GB on the drive.
