iPhone 11 Pro in Salt Water for 22 hours
My iPhone 11 Pro remarkably survived approximately 22 hours in the shallow yet turbulent waves near Doheny Beach, CA this summer. I only found it because of my obsessing and not giving up. It was still turned on with over 20% power left. Shortly after recovering it the screen turned black and white. Resetting the iPhone solved that issue eventually. Luckily I had a screen protector on it and it now barely has any evidence of it’s ordeal.
My question is how should I remove any salt that may cause corrosion down the line? I’ve already cleaned the outer surfaces with eye glass cleaning wipes. I’m tempted to soak it in some fresh water for a while, but am afraid to push it. Any helpful ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.
