Hello, theres. I just want to clarify regarding the 1 year free subscription of Apple TV plus.
I just bought a MacBook Pro 2020 this Sept and I subscribed to 1 year free. Unfortunately, only few are available to watch for free. Mostly, they are for purchase or rent. And I couldn't even search or filter which movies are free to watch. For some series, only few episodes are free but the succeeding ones aren't. Why is this so?
Your one year free subscription is for Apple TV+, the streaming service featuring Apple Originals. Other content in the Apple TV app is not included in this subscription. Notably items for Buy or Rent are from the iTunes Store, and will have to be payed for separately.

or find the promotional tiles with the ‘tv+’ logo on the artwork.

It is not free at all.
The marked Apple TV+ content is fully available to subscribers, without additional payments. Even during the free year extended trial period. That is as free as it gets.
So the subscription is useless after all :(
If you like the Apple TV+ content, then it is useful. If you got the free offer with a hardware purchase, then at least check it out, if you find something entertaining in the list.
If you expected that one of the biggest movie catalogs would be available for free, then you jumped to conclusions, and that wouldn’t be based on what Apple communicated.
Oh, that's sad. It is not free at all. So the subscription is useless after all :(
