Hi,

Are you saying "row" when you mean "column"? In the screenshot below I have two cells in column A with the text "Wrap text is turned off in this cell" and, as it says, wrap text in cell is turned off in those cells. In column B to the right, there is nothing in cell B1 but I put text in cell B2. This is what it sounds like you are describing and this is what will happen if "wrap text in cell" is off. If you want the text to not spread out, you have to put something in the cell beside it. If you want that other cell to look blank, use a space character.
If this is not what you are describing, a screenshot posted here would be useful.

Do you mean long text? If so you can uncheck the 'Wrap text in cell'.
If you mean large text, then when pasting you can use Edit > Paste and Match Style. The pasted text will then be the size you have chosen for the cell:

" What I found out now is that the first row does not allow the text to go 'underneath' the frame unless the second row contains some sign."
Can you demonstrate this? I'm not sure what you are describing.

Paste and Match Style can also be found by right clicking on a cell. It is in the contextual menu that pops up.
'Wrap text' is not what I meant. The second option looks like it. However, when I push 'Edit' the button(s) 'Paste and Match Style' are not displayed.
Edit > Paste and Match Style in the menu at the top of the screen.

Thank you. What I found out now is that the first row does not allow the text to go 'underneath' the frame unless the second row contains some sign.
