MacBook Pro 2019 issues

My new MBP (2019) was beeping intermittently but not putting any info on the screen about a reason—until the screen went to sleep and I noticed a battery image popping up for a few seconds, with a message telling me the battery was full. It did that over and over at irregular intervals while the power cord was plugged in to one left side port, but not to the other port on that side or the ones on the right. Is this problem I should worry about, or a reason to take the MBP back to the store?
When I watched the recent Apple Event video, the speaker on the right side made crackling noises during background music but not during voices. Anyone else who watched that video have that problem?

Based on #1, I would exchange the Mac for a new one.
