When I add my Widgetsmith it shows up completely gray. Even though I selected the number of widget I added the photo too. How would I fix this?

I had the same problem, it started working when I deleted every other widgets on widgetsmith and I save only the one which I wanted to use

What I did to make mine work is delete the app (Widgetsmith). After that shut down your phone for 5 minutes. Redownload the app and create all of the widgets before you put them in the places you want. After that’s done put the widget as you would and they should work.

EVERYONE UPDATE YOUR APP. Go on Widgetsmith on App Store and it will say update. It happened to mine

It’s still grey for me. How do I fix this problem. It was working fine and all of s sudden the widget I want to use is grey and wont show the image

If you tap on the widget just once when you are editing your homescreen (the apps are wiggling), it will allow you to choose which widget you want it to be!

Additionally, you can press for longer like you would when you want to delete an app, and it should give the option to change the widget.

I figured it out. Long press on the widget then select “edit widget”. From there, select the name of your widget, make sure it shows a check by it. Then cancel out of the window. The widget will show up.

How do you delete the widgets within the app please?
