Apple Pay fees for ecommerce merchants

What is the fee that merchants pay when they support checkout with Apple Pay on a website? Why is this information so obscured? I know there are no fees to the payer which is of course how it should be.

I finally got to the bottom of this Apple Pay (AP). All that "had to be said was -"Apple is not a payment processor".

Attention Merchants: To accept AP payments you must have a payment processor like Authorize.net or Stripe. Integrating with AP alone will not enable your business to accept payments.

Yes use of Apple Pay is free as a front end. But you will pay whatever fees your payment process will charge. If you use Stripe you will still be charged 2.9% and 30c per transaction. To see all the payment processors you can use go to the following link

Scroll down, click on 'Payment Service Providers' and pick your country

been through that page. it is not helpful. if someone can show me one line of documentation that’s discloses the transaction fees that would be great. if i charge a customer $100 for a gold plated cupcake, how much is deposited into my bank?

when you as ask any payment processor about fees, the answer is usually 2 numbers (2.7% + 30c per transaction) . all i see for applepay is 5 pages of documentation 😆

thanks. so i’ll assume the following regardless of what credit card the customer chooses to use via apple pay)

Merchant Fees: 0% (all credit cards)

Fee per tansaction: 0 cents

sorry about the persistence but 0% + 0c is unheard of in payments.

now there is a $100 annual developer fee. let’s just say i use the membership for nothing but accepting apple pay on the web. this means to meet/beat the cost of regular payment providers i would have to process at least $3333 of transactions. anything over this amount is savings over Stripe et al. is my logic sound?

even so, this is good deal.
