USB Connection with Cricut

I just purchased a Cricut Explore Air 2 and my 2017 MacBook Pro won't recognize the device when I plug the USB into a hub converter for the USB C ports. All drivers are updated it seems. I just need to update my Cricut through USB so I can use it wirelessly.

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 10.14

Please contact the manufacturer of this device for help with their products. You may need to find another way of connecting it to the computer. It may not work properly through a hub. You may need to use a straight adapter.
