Native sleep tracking with two watches

Can you have more than one Apple Watch assigned to sleep tracking using the native app?

I‘ve been using a Series 4 with the watch OS 7 betas (and now the GM) and it’s been fine. I added a Series 6 yesterday (and turned on automatic sleep tracking) but it didn’t track any sleep last night.

In the Health app under Sleep only the Series 4 is listed as a Data Source. The Series 6 isn’t listed. I've tried to turn sleep tracking off for the Series 4 but the Series 6 still isn't listed as a data source.

Any suggestions for making this work?

Hey there PatrickNSF,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We understand you’re having issues using sleep tracking with more than one Apple Watch. We’ll be happy to help with this.

If you haven’t already, restart your iPhone and Apple Watch Series 6:

Restart your iPhone

How to restart your Apple Watch

Test again after this and see if the issue is resolved.

If not, unpair your Apple Watch from your iPhone:

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch

Pair them back together and test again:

Set up your Apple Watch

We hope this helps.

Take care.
