My iPad App Store app opens and immediately closes?

My iPad App Store app opens and immediately closes. If I delete it, how do I install it again without the App Store app?

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities. It sounds like you’re having trouble with the App Store unexpectedly quitting when you try to use it on your iPad. We’re happy to help.


As it turns out, you’re not able to delete the App Store, but we have some troubleshooting for you to try.


First, restart your iPad to see if that helps:

Then, check to see if there are any software updates available:


Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch


If that doesn’t help, try reinstalling the software. While this shouldn’t delete any information from your iPad, it’s a good idea to have a recent backup:

To reinstall the software, follow the steps in the article below under the section labeled “Put your device in recovery mode and set it up again”:


If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
