Widgetsmith app not working

If it is not working I suggest everyone delete the app and backup their phones. Settings>Tap your name>iCloud>turn on everything you want saved (make sure the switch is green)> iCloud backup>backup now. Once the backup is complete do a full reset of your phone. Settings>general >reset>erase all content and settings. Once you are back to setup, setup the phone and restore from the backup you created. This will reset the software to new. All of your content will then reload to your phone. Try installing the app again. If it still fails you, wait for the app developer to release an update, as well as any iOS updates. There isn’t much we can do from here as it is issues on the backend.

I'm going to straight up assume that you're from tiktok. This is apple support communities, We don't deal with individual Apps issues that don't have direct connections with Apple software services such as iCloud, etc.

You could try restarting your phone Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

But your best bet at fixing this would be to contact the App developer him/herself.

Only the developers of the app can fix it. There are a few apps that were broken by iOS 14; most have already been fixed. You need to contact the developers (although they probably already know what they have to do).

Software update your phone that’s what it did to me before I did.

Go to Settings/General/About and report the model name of the phone and the iOS version.

The app developer has to create apps that are working with Apple devices, Apple is not responsible for any app that decides to fail. The developer of the app is Cross Forward Consulting, LLC and they can be contacted at - http://www.crossforward.com/contact-us/. Like I said, feel free to comment here. There's just no experts on this topic in the community.

The developers of the app messed up and didn’t update it to be compatible with iOS 14. They’ve had access to iOS 14 for 3 months now, so they really have no excuse, no matter what they tell you. They are the ones that have to fix it.

you need to swipe all the way to the furthermost left side of your phone and go to the bottom where it says edit, then click it. then go to the bottom again where it says customise, then u go to the rectangle where it says widgetsmith and click the green plus. save it and maybe the widgets will show up on your phone.

Widgets were built in with the update. The third party apps are created to mimic this, not in its place. When you have an issue with a third party app you will always need to direct you questions and anger with them. Want to know if it’s third party and not your software? Run stock apps. If they work fine, it’s your third party app. Let’s allow Apple to work through the kinks of the brand NEW update before we go crazy. Widgetsmith has caused many issues on Apple devices. I would know as I am a tech specialist that deals with it everyday. Uninstall the app and reset your phones settings...back to new.

I deleted the app widgetsmith because it was not working. And when I went to go see if I could put in a photo widget (after I re downloaded it) it would let me put the widgets in but i couldn’t see them. They just went blank. So please tell me how i can maybe fix that.

The widget smith app Is a very limited app. If the app does not open try to delete it by going to Swipe to the right on your device's Lock or Home screen > tap Edit at the bottom of the screen > find the widget that you want to remove. Then click on whatever pops up for you, then it should show something similar to this:

When you get to this, you’re basically done, just click on which one you want from Widgetsmith. I clicked Large #1, then the gray widget for you should show the picture
