Apple Watch 4 cannot delete music. iPhone App says no music, watch says over a thousand songs.

Trying to update to the latest watch software but there is not enough watch memory available. Tried to delete music on the watch but after deleting in the iPhone app and putting the watch on charger overnight and next to my phone the music persists.

The app says "No Music" and the watch under Settings>About it says "1,261 Songs".

I guess I need to unpair or restore? Any other ideas why this could be happening?

As an update, and for the benefit of anyone else that has this issue: unpairing and repairing did solve the issue.
